Rete Gigan by Tenax has been a recurring material in my work. Commonly used on construction sites across Italy, the mesh caught my attention through its vibrant colours, lightweight structure, and distinctive grid pattern.
Through projects such as giganTE and lavori in corso, I explore how this everyday industrial material can be translated into a domestic context. By combining it with materials like linen, paper, or stainless steel, new qualities emerge through light, texture, and use.
The series is an ongoing material study that reinterprets a familiar construction material through furniture, lighting, and everyday objects.

lavori in corso lamp
lavori in corso lamp Re-Interpretation of the rete gigan by tenax, my probably favourite material from 2025. The lamp is made from stainless steel, can be hung on the wall or stand on the floor. The paper is interchangeable and due to its din a4 format easy to change to any other colour.
giganTE
giganTE is a set of baskets made of natural linen and Rete Gigan by Tenax. Inspired by the vibrant colors and shapes of street grids, it creates subtle plays of light and shadow. Perfect for fruit, laundry, or everyday objects.
