The 80 graus bench (Portuguese for “80 degrees”) was created during an internship at Atelier Mateus in Lisbon. Made from walnut, it is constructed using only traditional joinery techniques, without any screws or nails. The name 80 graus originates from the recurring 80-degree angle featured throughout the design. The edges are beveled at this angle, and the legs are positioned in an 80-degree relationship to each other, creating a cohesive and dynamic form. The bench was displayed at Lisbon Design Week 2023.
