PlO₂p is a pneumatic walnut cracker that uses air pressure to split walnuts between transparent acrylic plates.

Based on an industrial lifting cushion normally used to raise heavy loads, the object transforms a technical pneumatic system into a domestic and playful interaction.  As pressure increases through manual pumping, the walnut slowly reaches its breaking point, making force, tension, and release physically visible.

Constructed from acrylic glass, threaded rods, and pneumatic cushion, plO₂p exists somewhere between kitchen tool, experiment, and performative object. By exposing its mechanics rather than concealing them, the project reflects on functionality, the reframing of industrial materials, and the subtle humor that emerges when heavy-duty technology is applied to something as small and ordinary as a walnut.
